Throw-Out Bearing Assembly
This kit eliminates the bellhousing to frame clutch cross shaft allowing
you all the room you need to install headers. The bearing travels on
a special adjustable sleeve screw which allows over .650" travel for
any pressure plate combination. This unit is a necessity when you
have a marine or late model block without any cross shaft ball
provision. The collapsed release bearing inside the bellhousing on
the front of the transmission throw out bearing collar is 2.850" from
the front of the transmission to the front face of the release bearing, it
is 2.950" inside the bellhousing. This assembly comes with
everything shown. |

PB-455
Crankshaft Bushing
A four-speed, bearing-bronze, drive-in crankshaft bushing for all 1964 to
date Oldsmobile cranks. The depth portion of the crank must be
counterbored to accept the depth of your transmission input shaft.
Bushing fits large machined diameter of crankshaft. 2.000" OD
.592" ID. This doesn't always work and is only recommended for
a 'down & dirty' installation. The correct way is to use our
PB-450 bearing. |

PB-460
Crankshaft Bushing
Similar to our PB-455, it is a sealed roller bearing that drives into the
back of a stock Oldsmobile automatic crankshaft. This bearing
converts your crankshaft into a 4 speed application. The bearing is
self aligning to compensate for bellhousing and transmission misalignment
about .010" to .015". You must shorten the tip of the
input shaft so it won't bottom out in the crankshaft. On some
models, the cranks are counterbored to accept the input shaft. This
new unit can be driven into place with no machine work. This bearing
assembly also fits any G.M. crankshaft in the converter locating hole and
can be used when using a motor plate, transmission adapter, etc..
